League info:
Objective: To create a golf organization/group built on the principles of competitive golf, camaraderie, fair play and governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and individual integrity.
Time: Mondays from 5:00 – 5:40 Based on 20 players
Dates: Officially begins as 9 hole league with points running mid May-mid August (14 weeks based on 8 players)
Cost: $20 at sign-up. This fee is for League Championship prizes. This money will be paid out in Deer Valley Certificates. Non member league players will pay the regular league golf rate. All players must have a WSGA Handicap. If they do not have one, they may get one through Deer Valley for the fee of $25. Full time league players holding a valid WSGA Handicap at another club are accepted.
Base Format: This league will play as an individual NET MATCH PLAY format. Individual matches will be scheduled weekly and you are competing against your opponent in match play, 1 point will be awarded for each hole won and ½ point will be awarded for each hole tied. Points will accumulate throughout the season. Prize money will be awarded for most points at the end. There is also an individual Low Net event each week- the entry is $2.00 and the player(s) with the Low Net Score of the night will win the prize pool. Red tees will be used, and summer rules will be played (except during spring, or with certain wx conditions), Summer Rules will be decided at the discretion of the Deer Valley Golf Club. Deer Valley will tabulate and post all weekly results. .
Pairings: Golfers in this league will have a scheduled opponent each week and a scheduled tee time. If you can’t make it on a scheduled day it is up to you to reschedule your match in a timely manner. Please notify your scheduled opponent and Deer Valley ahead of time if a match is to be rescheduled.
